Dr. Danny Wright and Dr. Deborah Sullivan of Pediatric Dentistry of Mansfield are board-certified pediatric dentists with a succinct objective for each of their young patients. “Our goal is to teach children how to become confident, fearless dental patients and to help parents raise cavity-free kids,” said Dr. Deborah Sullivan. “I truly believe that God has gifted me to calm, comfort, and help other people—especially the littlest ones.”

Dr. Danny Wright is totally onboard, “We view it as a privilege to be a part of our young patients’ lives and take pride in educating them in establishing healthy oral habits. Our aim is to provide a fun, non- threatening environment that allows kids to actually enjoy coming to the dentist.”

Now, they’re happy to welcome another likeminded dentist onto the Pediatric Dentistry of Mansfield team. Dr. Corey Menou was first exposed to pediatric dentistry during a mission trip to Mexico, while he was in dental school. “I was able to see how large an impact a pediatric dentist can have in the lives of their patient’s overall healthcare,” he said. “As soon as I walked into Pediatric Dentistry of Mansfield, I knew we shared a philosophy of putting young patients first and providing the highest level of preventive and restorative care with kindness, compassion, and smiles.”

In fact, Drs. Sullivan, Wright, and Menou hear from astonished parents all the time whose children ask when they can return to the dentist. That may be because of their philosophy of “treating the child, not the tooth”. Or it may be because they look upon dentistry not merely as a job but as a ministry. “God calls us to serve others and to try to bring joy to other people,” Dr. Wright said. “Our obvious goal is to take care of our patients’ dental needs. But more importantly, we want to do it in a way that’s pleasant and easy for the child to tolerate.”

“We want to raise up a generation who sees going to the dentist as a happy, positive experience,” Dr. Menou said. “Nothing drives me more than seeing a nervous patient through their first dental experience and watching them grow into a confident young person who’s excited about taking care of their oral health.”

Drs. Wright, Sullivan, and Menou discuss diet, hygiene, and helpful hints to help parents keep their children cavity-free. When dental treatment is necessary, they provide the highest quality restorations and offer all levels of anxiety-reducing sedation. And to keep smiles beautiful and authentic looking, they offer aesthetic white fillings and white crowns.
